Lexapro

I just started Lexapro for my anxiety. I used to be on it, but went off it over a year ago and now am starting back up. I’ll only be on 5mg but am starting only at 2.5 to ease into it. I’m two doses in and having horrible anxiety. I almost feel like I’m having trouble breathing. Kind of like I’m very winded and can’t get enough air. I know that you can get increased anxiety for a bit before it starts getting better, but has anyone experienced this before and how long does it last? Thanks!

Anyone who’s taken Lexapro- Do you remember how quickly side effects came on and how long it was until they went away? I can’t get a straight answer from my doctors or pharmacist, I know they have to be vague for legal reasons but it’s driving me crazy to keep hearing “eventually”!

Hi I’m new on here just signed up yesterday. Long story short the last few months my anxiety/depression has been its worst so far. Trying to figure out the right meds. Has anyone had side effects from lexapro? If so how long before they go away. Just want this to work.

I was recently prescribed Lexapro for my anxiety and I've heard that it has alot of side effects... Has anybody else taken or is taking it? And if so did you have a problem with it?

anyone on SSRIs how long did it take to work? I’ve been on Lexapro since January and I haven’t noticed improvement

Starting Lexapro today and I’m terrified of the side effects. Does anyone have any tips? No horror stories please!
