Chinese skullcap
Treatment
Chinese skullcap is an herb native to Korea and southern China, and it’s been used in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), often combined with other herbs, to treat and manage several conditions, including epilepsy, infections, and cancer. As a holistic supplement, people use it for a lot of things, from upper respiratory tract infections and insomnia to headaches and osteoarthritis. It potentially has antibacterial, antiviral, anti-inflammatory, and neuroprotective properties—that sounds like one heck of a punch, right? People often take the herb by mouth, but they may also inject it into swollen areas, or apply it topically to treat skin conditions such as psoriasis.
