Trigeminal neuralgia

To anyone who has any unexplained shooting nerve pains -> get tested for shingles!!! I’ve been suffering for months with a “virus” and fever I tested positive. My pain is in my face and scalp and neck so everyone thought trigeminal neuralgia or atypical migraine but it is shingles.

For the past week I’ve been having aches in my jaw area and have no idea why. I’m going to a general practitioner today to get it checked out but I’m worried because my mom trigeminal neuralgia and I’m not sure what’s wrong.

Does anyone else experience trigeminal neuralgia? My flares are getting closer together and more intense and I’m looking for suggestions on managing the pain.

Does anyone with occipital / trigeminal neuralgia (and/or pinched nerves, disc degeneration etc) experience twitching or tics ? I’ve been having intense full body winces + facial tics all day and I can’t figure out what it’s from...

Can I talk to someone with trigeminal neuralgia and/or trigeminal nerve pain during migraines? I may be developing one of these issues, but I would like to cross check my symptoms and get feedback from others’ experiences before my next neurology appt.
